I received an invitation from Paula Johnson of Rose City Sisters to include “Please Be Advised” in their upcoming flash fiction anthology. I think the anthology will be published by the end of the year. Knowing Paula, sooner.
The story is adapted from a chapter of my second novel, California Incline. One of the things I learned while adapting it is that I am just not a short form writer. I could fit the story into the 1,000 word limit, but it’s not my forte. Nevertheless, I think the story works as flash fiction, and I’m honored to be included.
